Femke Bol books impressive anniversary victory at Rentree, silver for fisherman

Femke Bol convincingly won her first 400-meter hurdles of the season. The world champion finished first with a large lead at the Diamond League competition in Rabat.

Bol finished with a time of 52.46 seconds. Andrenette Knight was almost one and a half seconds slower and finished second. Ayomide Folorunso completed the podium in a time of 54.74 seconds.

This is Bol’s 25th consecutive victory in the 400-meter hurdles in the Diamond League. The reigning world champion has been undefeated in the Diamond League since 2020.

It was Bol’s first outdoor race since the Olympic Games in Paris, where she won gold (4×400 meter mixed), silver (4×400 meter), and bronze (400 meter hurdles).

Bol did run in the relay events of the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn. The 25-year-old from Amersfoort won gold with both the women’s team and the mixed team.
