Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen will start the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday from fourth place. The Dutchman moved up one position due to a grid penalty for Lewis Hamilton. See the starting grid for the race in the principality here.

Hamilton, who qualified fourth, received his grid penalty for impeding Verstappen during qualifying. Hamilton will therefore start seventh. Isack Hadjar (fifth) and Fernando Alonso (sixth) also move up one position alongside Verstappen.

Lance Stroll and Oliver Bearman also received grid penalties. Bearman was demoted ten places for overtaking Carlos Sainz during a red flag situation. The Haas driver will therefore start last, despite finishing seventeenth.

Lance Stroll therefore retains his nineteenth place, even though he received a four-place grid penalty. On Friday he already received a one-place grid penalty for causing a crash with Charles Leclerc. On Saturday, three more were added because he impeded Pierre Gasly. The Monaco Grand Prix starts on Sunday at 3:00 PM.
