Twente grabs Despite new Hattrick Ravensbergen next to 'Quadruple' against PSV

FC Twente Women were unable to close out the season in style on Saturday evening. Despite a new hat-trick from Jaimy Ravensbergen, the Enschede side lost to PSV in the Eredivisie Cup final.

Ravensbergen seemed to take the leading role in the final with three goals, but PSV equalized in injury time of extra time. Veerle Buurman made it 3-3, after which PSV took the penalties slightly better.

Eredivisie top scorer Ravensbergen helped FC Twente to the national title last week with a hat-trick in the championship match against AZ (3-2). PSV finished second with a lower goal difference.

FC Twente had also previously defeated PSV in the KNVB Cup final earlier this season. So the roles were reversed in the battle for the least important prize of the season. The champion and the period champions participate in the Eredivisie Cup every year.

Due to the defeat against PSV, FC Twente ends the season with three prizes. Trainer Joran Pot will leave the club from Enschede this summer. He will be replaced by Corina Dekker, who will have Jill Roord at her disposal. The Orange international surprisingly signed a contract in Enschede earlier on Saturday.
