On the Eurovision Song Contest, There is of Talk of ‘Douze Points’ and Explanations about How to Vote Are Given Not Only in English But also in French. Why is that?
The Very First Song Contest In 1956 was presented in Four Languages: French, German, Italian, and Dutch. This Makes Sense Because Only Seven Countries Participated That Year: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, and Switzerland. Everyone Understood Those Four Languages.
But More and More Countries started participating in The Song Contest. Anyally, English Became the Primary Language because Almost Everyone in the Participating Countries Understands IT.
French is the Second Language at the Song Contest because of the participation of France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Therefore, it was decided to also do some elements, such as the explanation of how to vote, in French.
