Volleyball players prevent false start at World Cup with victory in Vijfessetter against Sweden

The Dutch Women’s Volleyball Team started the World Cup in Thailand on Friday with a narrow Victory. After a Difficult Start, The Team of National Coach Felix KoSlowski Recovered and Orange won a Grueling Five-Setter Against Sweden: 25-27, 25-11, 25-21, 21-25 and 15-9.

On Paper, The Netherlands, Ranked Eighth in the World, was the favorite, But Orange had a Difficult Start to the Match. Sweden, Ranked 26th in the world, had Things Better Organized and Won the First Set: 25-27.

In The Second Set, Orange Recovered. Partly thanks to a Strong Service Series by Captain Nika Daalderop and Accurate Hits by Elles Dambrink, The Volleyball Players Equalized the Score in Sets with 25-11.

The Netherlands Continued and also won The Third Set, But Were Not Involved in the Fourth Set. Partly thanks to the Strong Playing Sisters Anna and Isabelle Haak, Sweden Tok the Set and a Decisive Fifth Set of Fifteen Points had to be Played.

In It, The Netherlands Tok a 5-0 Lead and Did Not Relinquish That Margin. After More Than Two Hours, Orange Used The Second Match Point. Dambrink was the Top Scorer on the Dutch Side With Eighteneen Points.

Thanks to the Victory about Sweden, The Netherlands is the Leader of Group A. Egypt (FIVB-54) and Thailand (FIVB-21) are also in that Pool. The Numbers One and Two of the Group Advance to the Eighth Finals. The Netherlands Will Play Against Egypt on Sunday at 12:00 Noon, after which it will face Thailand Two Days later.
