Vitesse finds the accountant and takes an important step towards licensing

Vitesse has taken an important step towards retaining its professional license. The Arnhem club has entered into a partnership with CROP registeraccountants.

“This agreement shows that Vitesse is ready for a healthy future,” says general manager Timo Braasch on Vitesse’s website on Wednesday. “In recent months, we have taken the necessary steps to reach this collaboration.”

An agreement with an accountant is an important condition for the KNVB for a professional license. The football association announced two weeks ago that it wanted to withdraw the license from the Keuken Kampioen Divisie club.

The licensing committee believes that American investor Coley Parry has been involved with Vitesse again since the foreign takeover in January, while that is expressly prohibited.

Vitesse was given the opportunity to prove otherwise but continued to submit incomplete documents. The licensing committee stated that Vitesse “despite firm commitments” continued “to circumvent and evade the licensing system”.

Vitesse has time to convince the licensing committee that it will be allowed to compete in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie next season. Among other things, the club wants to attract a main sponsor and balance the budget.
