Max Verstappen had a good feeling after the first two free practice sessions for the Grand Prix of Canada. He found the second practice more difficult than the first.
“It was okay today,” Verstappen said in a press release from his team. “In the first free practice we felt good in the car, but the second free practice was a bit more difficult.”
Verstappen started the weekend excellently with the fastest time in the first practice. A few hours later, things went less smoothly at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Red Bull driver clocked the ninth time in the second free practice.
“There was a little less balance and we felt less comfortable in the car. We have to investigate that, but overall I think it was quite a positive day for us.”
“If we can get the feeling from the first free practice back, it will be good. We still have a practice session to get it right. We need to get into a good window and then we’ll see how far we get in qualifying.”
