Verstappen qualifies third for the first GT3 race on Nordschleife

Max Verstappen Qualified Third for his first GT3 Race on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife on Saturday Morning. The Dutchman was Three Seconds Slower than the pole time.

The 27-year-old Verstappen Lapped the Partly Wet Nordschleife in His Ferrari in 8 Minutes and 9 Seconds. That was Three Seconds Slower than Christian Krognes in The Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3.

Shortly After Qualifying, Verstappen was Slightly Disappointed that he missed pole. “It was actual all going pretty well, only the last lap was a bit disappointing,” he said. “But that’s part of it, and I think that’s exactly what we all love about it.”

The Formula 1 World Champion is hopeful that can win the race on Saturday. “That’s definitely the goal and I think we can do it.”

Verstappen is competing in The Nürburgring Langstrecke series This Weekend. That is a championship that takes place entirely on the legendary nordschleife, the more than twenty kilometers long circuit known the ‘green hell’. A Mix of Amateurs and Professional Teams Participate, with 110 Cars on the Track at the Same Time.

Verstappen Shares His Car with Brit Chris Lulham. Both Drivers Will Be In Action on Saturday Afternoon. It is not Yet Known Which of the Two Will Start the Race. The Four-Hour Race Starts at 12:00 pm.
