The twin brother of singer S10, Emiel den Hollander, passed away on Thursday afternoon at the age of 24. His mother announced this to the Telegraaf. Den Hollander had previously sustained injuries after falling from an apartment in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
S10’s twin brother fell from the fourth floor “under suspicious circumstances” from an apartment in Osdorp on April 15. He was found seriously injured on the roof of a garage. Den Hollander may have been held against his will in the apartment.
After the fall, he suffered, among other things, brain damage, a broken neck, broken ribs, a perforated lung, a broken hip and broken shoulder blades. Den Hollander was in a coma for nine weeks in the Amsterdam UMC, after which he did not wake up.
A 23-year-old man from Hoorn was arrested in May for possible involvement in the incident. The man in question is suspected of “unlawful deprivation of liberty resulting in serious injury”. In addition, the police suspect him of several burglaries.
