The minister rode on Sunday evening on the highway near the capital Ankara. In the video he listens to folk music and speeches of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The dashboard shows that he goes 255 kilometers per hour at some point. The speed limit on that road is 140 kilometers per hour.
Later on Sunday, Uraloglu posted a photo of his traffic fine. He stated that he unknowingly exceeded the maximum speed for a short time. The fine was 9,267 Turkish lira, converted around 194 euros.
The minister writes that he checked “the current condition of the Ankara-Nigt motorway” during the ride. He emphasizes that everyone must adhere to the maximum speed. Finally, Uraloglu says that he “will be even more careful from now on”.
