Trump is sleeping in the Huis ten Bosch Palace at the invitation of Willem-Alexander

Donald Trump will stay overnight at Paleis Huis ten Bosch in The Hague on Tuesday. King Willem-Alexander has invited the American president to stay there, the Government Information Service confirms after reports from RTL Nieuws.

Trump will arrive in the Netherlands on Tuesday at 7:00 PM for the NATO summit. A meeting with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima is scheduled three-quarters of an hour after his arrival, according to the official schedule.

The White House previously reported that Trump will have breakfast with the royal couple on Wednesday.

Previously, an overnight stay for the president at hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk was taken into account. Security measures had already been taken around that hotel and American flags had been hung.

The hotel does not want to provide further explanation. “We do not make statements about which guests do or do not stay with us,” a spokesperson said.
