The American singer Trey Songz is accused of assaulting a cameraman after a performance at The Ivy nightclub in New York. TMZ reports this based on images and a statement from the alleged victim.
The cameraman, Isaa Mansoor, said he was hired by the club owner to film the forty-year-old singer’s performance. Songz reportedly arrived with an entourage and, according to Mansoor, knew he was being filmed.
At the end of the event, the owner asked Mansoor to take one last shot of Songz at the club’s logo. As he started filming, the singer allegedly attacked him suddenly. Songz allegedly punched Mansoor in the face, threw him against a wall, and destroyed two of his cameras.
Mansoor was taken to the hospital after the incident. He reportedly suffered a concussion and ankle injury. Police are currently investigating the incident.
This is not the first time Songz has been in the news. In recent years, he has been repeatedly accused of misconduct, including assault, sexual harassment, and violence.
Earlier this year, Songz released the song Gimme a Chance, in which he sings that he wants to “start with a clean slate.”
