Jadiel Pereira da Gama is proud that he is in the books as the youngest Eredivisie player ever. The fifteen-year-old high school student fell on behalf of PEC Zwolle on Friday in the away match against Telstar with 0-2 and saw his wish come true.
“Of course I was busy with the record. Asking friends often: are you going to be the youngest? I am very happy that it has now been successful,” said Pereira da Gama half an hour after the game at the Buko Stadium.
Pereira da Gama had been warming up for a while when he heard from PEC coach Henry van der Vegt that he had to fall in. “The trainer said,” Have fun and do your best. ” But I found it very exciting.
