Elijah Blue Allman, the son of singer Cher, has been hospitalized after an overdose. Entertainment website TMZ reports this based on sources close to the family. It is not known which substances are involved.
Allman, the 48-year-old son of Cher and musician Gregg Allman, previously struggled with addiction problems. In 2024, Cher tried to have him placed under guardianship because, according to her, he was unable to manage his assets due to “drug-related problems.” Allman acknowledged at the time a history of addiction but said that he was doing better now.
The guardianship case was discontinued after mother and son reached a mutual agreement. What they agreed upon exactly has never been made public.
Cher and Gregg Allman married in 1975 and separated in 1979.
