Sinner goes on to Roland Garros semi -finals and meets Djokovic or Zverev

Jannik Sinner convincingly reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros on Wednesday. The world number one had few problems with the Kazakh Alexander Bublik.

The 23-year-old Sinner was too strong for the four-year-older Bublik with 6-1, 7-5 and 6-0. The match on the gravel in Paris lasted one hour and fifty minutes.

Sinner took the first set in 35 minutes. In the second act, the Italian got a bit more resistance from Bublik. But at a score of 5-5, the world number 62 hit a double fault on breakpoint against, after which Sinner served out the set without any problems.

In the third set, Sinner quickly took a two-break lead. The three-time Grand Slam winner then did not relinquish the victory. He therefore remains without a set loss in Paris.

In the semi-finals, Sinner will face Novak Djokovic or Alexander Zverev. The Serbian and the German will meet later in the day. In the other semi-final, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz and Lorenzo Musetti will face each other.

Sinner is chasing his first title at Roland Garros. His best performance in Paris is a place in the semi-finals. He has already won the Australian Open twice and the US Open once.
