Jessie J is cancer-free. The 37-year-old singer successfully underwent breast surgery earlier this week.
“The cancer is completely gone,” Jessie J writes on Instagram. “I can now rest and catch up with my friends.” The singer shares some “benefits” of the surgery: her nipple is where it should be and she has plenty of time to watch Love Island.
But she also writes: “The pain and discomfort are okay, but it’s annoying when I try to sleep.” She also says she can’t be the mother she wants to be for her son Sky because she can’t lift him. And that she’s afraid the cancer will return.
Jessie J, who is known for songs like Bang Bang, Price Tag and Flashlight, announced in early June that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
