Diederik Jekel married his girlfriend Eline on Monday. The ceremony was exactly five years after the two met online.
The newlyweds celebrated their big day in Zaltbommel with presenter Jochem van Gelder as master of ceremonies.
Jekel and his newlywed wife share a series of photos from the party on Instagram. “Over the past five years, you have made my world so much bigger,” Eline writes. “Not with exciting adventures or distant journeys, but by showing every day how big it is here, at home – together with you.”
In 2023, the couple became parents to son Matthias. A year earlier, the science journalist announced that he was getting married.
