Warmtepompen zijn in de eerste vier maanden van dit jaar populairder geworden. De verkoopstijging volgt op een forse daling vorig jaar, waarin vooral het aantal pompen voor woningen hard omlaag ging. Het ging toen om een terugloop van 30 procent.
Dat meldt Dutch New Energy Research (DNER) donderdag op basis van eigen onderzoek. De daling kwam doordat het huidige demissionaire kabinet een voornemen van tafel veegde om warmtepompen te verplichten.
Maar in de eerste vier maanden van dit jaar hebben de onderzoekers juist weer een stijging gezien. Als de trend doorzet, zouden er dit jaar in totaal zo’n 176.000 warmtepompen worden verkocht. Dat is een stijging van 41 procent ten opzichte van vorig jaar.
Volgens DNER komt de stijging deels doordat kopers die eind vorig jaar een offerte hebben aangevraagd dit jaar nog konden profiteren van gunstigere voorwaarden. Daarnaast heeft de sector extra reclame gemaakt.
DNER meldt ook dat airco’s populairder zijn. Vorig jaar zijn zo’n 268.000 airco’s verkocht. Op basis van de verkoopcijfers in de eerste vier maanden dit jaar is de verwachting dat het aantal in heel 2025 naar 306.000 stijgt. Volgens de onderzoekers is er een groeiende behoefte aan koeling.

But in the first four months of this year, the researchers have seen an increase again. If the trend continues, a total of approximately 176,000 heat pumps would be sold this year. That is an increase of 41 percent compared to last year.
According to DNER, the increase is partly because buyers who requested a quote at the end of last year were still able to benefit from more favorable conditions this year. In addition, the sector has done extra advertising.
DNER also reports that air conditioners are more popular. Around 268,000 air conditioners were sold last year. Based on the sales figures in the first four months of this year, the expectation is that the number will rise to 306,000 in the whole of 2025. According to the researchers, there is a growing need for cooling.
