Risky occupation of Radboud building, 23 demonstrators arrested

The Police Made 23 judgment at the Occupied Goudsmit Pavilion of Radboud University on the Night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The Building Has Now Been Handed Back to the Nijmegen University, Bringing the Occupation to An End.

The Protesters had Barricaded Themselves in a Laboratory with Superconducting Magnets and Cooling Gases. A Police Raid Risked Releasing Life-Thraeatening Gases.

“This is a Life-Thraeatening Situation that Endangers The Safety of the Activists,” The University Said at the Start of the Occupation. “For example, if an officer Enters, just his holster can caus a reaction with the magnets,” A University Spokesperson Told the Ad on Tuesday. The toxic Gases would only be risky for people in the building.

The Activists Demand That Radboud University Sever Ties with Israel. There are more frequent pro-Palestinian demonstrations at the University.
