Reijnders stands for Top Transfer to Manchester City after approval with AC Milan

Tijjani Reijnders is reportedly set to trade AC Milan for Manchester City. The clubs are said to have reached an agreement on a transfer fee of up to 70 million euros, according to De Telegraaf, The Athletic, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 26-year-old Reijnders had previously reached a personal agreement with City. The Netherlands international still needs to undergo a medical examination. The midfielder is currently preparing with the Netherlands for the World Cup qualifying matches against Finland and Malta.

A five-year contract is reportedly waiting for Reijnders at City, who finished third in the Premier League last season. He is currently under contract with Milan until mid-2030. The Italian club finished eighth in Serie A last season, missing out on European football.

Born in Zwolle, Reijnders, who was recently chosen as the best midfielder in Serie A, made his debut in professional football in August 2017 at PEC Zwolle. Shortly thereafter, AZ acquired him. Reijnders played six seasons in Alkmaar, with the exception of a half-year loan spell at RKC.

Reijnders made the move from AZ to Milan two years ago for around 20 million. The midfielder grew into a full Netherlands international in Italy. He missed almost no matches for Milan. In 104 matches, he scored nineteen goals and provided five assists.

Reijnders has become a regular starter for the Dutch national team under coach Ronald Koeman. The midfielder made his debut for the Netherlands against Greece in September 2023. He has so far played 22 times for the national team.
