Princess Amalia attended the dinner for government leaders at Huis ten Bosch Palace on Tuesday evening. This can be seen in live stream footage shared by NATO. In the footage, the princess is next to her parents, shaking hands with guests.
It was not announced in advance that Amalia would be present at the dinner. The dinner for heads of state and government leaders participating in the NATO summit is taking place at the invitation of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
The King will give a speech after the start of the dinner. The dinner is starting a little later because US President Donald Trump landed at Schiphol with a delay.
Amalia no longer has her arm in a cast, as can be seen on the livestream. She broke her upper arm in early June after falling from her horse. The 21-year-old princess had to undergo surgery for this. That happened in the UMC Utrecht.
The semi-annual photo session with the royal family, which was scheduled for mid-June, was postponed after Amalia’s arm fracture. The photo opportunity with the King and Queen and the three princesses will now be held on June 30.
