Then the man shared “sexually tinted” messages and “fantasies” with her. Despite the fact that Van Hoogdalem blocked the man several times, he continued to send her messages.
Moments later, Deepfakes also followed. That is an image or video in which an existing person is manipulated through technology. “Suddenly there were pictures of me in which I did not recognize myself. That was the moment when I went to the police.”
A year and a half after her declaration, the man from Overbetuwe was arrested. 130 victims have reported to the police throughout the country over a period of four years. In these reports, the man is accused of spreading sexually tinted deep fakes. He would also have sent photos of his genitals.
In addition to Van Hoogdalem, at least nine other people have reported a report.

In Those Reports, The Man is Accused Of, Among Other Things, Sexumely Suggestive Deepfakes. He would also have sent pictures of his genitals.
