Police may investigate shooting incident on A13, shut for hours for hours

The police are investigating a shooting incident on the A13. On Tuesday morning, the highway was partially closed between Rotterdam and The Hague.

Around 1:25 AM on Tuesday, shots may have been fired on the A13 towards The Hague, police report on X. No arrests have been made and it is still unclear if there were any injuries.

According to Rijnmond, a taxi was shot at after being chased by a car with a Belgian license plate. Subsequently, the cars reportedly collided, after which shots were fired at the taxi.

The Belgian car was later found without occupants in The Hague. Photos appear to show a bullet hole in the side window of a taxi on the A13. The police cannot confirm the reports.

Around 7:30 AM, the ANWB reported that the A13 was reopened.
