Pepsico recalls Bags Bugles and Wokkels due to health risks

PepsiCo Nederland recalls several variants of Bugles and Wokkels from Lay’s. A non-food-safe mineral oil ended up in the bags during the production of the chips, the producer reports.

Eating the chips with non-food-safe mineral oil poses long-term health risks. “As a precaution, PepsiCo has decided to recall the products and asks consumers not to consume them.”

It concerns Wokkels paprika and naturel and Bugles naturel and nacho/cheese in bags of various sizes. PepsiCo is recalling these products with best before dates of August 16, 23, and 30, September 6, 13, 20 and 27, and October 4.

The chips are sold at Jumbo and Boon’s Markt, among others. People who already have the chips at home should not eat them. They can get their money back by contacting the manufacturer.
