Aniston’s love life has been under a magnifying glass for decades. In the nineties, the American Friends actress had a much-discussed relationship with Brad Pitt. They met through their managers and got married in 2000.
Five years later, the fairytale came to an end when Pitt developed feelings for his co-star Angelina Jolie during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Pitt and Jolie then remained together for twelve years.
The media attention surrounding the breakup with Pitt weighed heavily on Aniston. “I much prefer that everyone move on. I am not defined by this relationship,” she told Vanity Fair at the time. “I am not defined by the role the media has me playing in this love triangle. But it does drive me crazy.”
