More than thirty arrests and two agents injured in riots in The Hague

The police have arrested more than thirty people at the riots who broke out in The Hague on Saturday after a demonstration against asylum policy got out of hand. Two agents were injured. This is reported by the Haagse Driehoek (mayor, police and justice) at a press conference on Saturday evening.

“Unheard and the Netherlands unworthy,” said Mayor Jan van Zanen about the riots. The mayor reported to have heard from sources that “groups of hooligans from all parts of the country” had an important share in the violence. “This was not a demonstration, these were deliberate riots.”
