Man in Eindhoven accidentally blows the facade house away when testing gas cooker

A man from Eindhoven accidentally blew part of the facade out of his home on Saturday while testing a camping stove. The man was unharmed, but his apartment sustained significant damage.

The man was planning to go camping soon and had bought a gas stove for that purpose. The gas cylinders in the device exploded when he tried to test the stove. This released a strong shockwave, which partially blew the facade out of the house.

It is not clear exactly how the explosion occurred. According to Omroep Brabant, no fire was seen. The rubble from the facade fell meters down, but did not hit anyone.

Despite the damage, no injuries have been reported. The man himself escaped without injury, and no local residents were injured. The adjacent apartments have been evacuated as a precaution, the police confirm.
