When officers looked up on the spot, they saw a hand sticking out between the bridge sections. The man was freed from his predicament by workers who happened to be working on the bridge at that moment. He was in good health.
The intruder wanted to look inside the bridge out of curiosity, he told the police. He had entered through a door, which locked behind him. He said he had been locked up for about twelve hours.
