Loes Haverkort and Noortje Herlaar play a leading role in the new Netflix series The Dinner Club. The series is based on Saskia Noort’s bestseller of the same name. Filming for the series, which was announced last year, has begun.
In addition to Haverkort and Herlaar, Remko Vrijdag, Edwin Jonker, Rifka Lodeizen, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Charlie-Chan Dagelet and Teun Luijkx also have a leading role in The Dinner Club. The direction is in the hands of Dana Nechushtan and Margien Rogaar.
The Dinner Club is about Karen, who moves to Bergen with her family. She is taken into the Dinner Club, a group of friends who enjoy a dissolute life.
Eventually, one of them dies in a fire. Then Karen discovers that the group’s friendship is held together by lies.
Noort’s book was previously filmed. The film starred Mark van Eeuwen, Halina Reijn and Bracha van Doesburgh, among others.
