Limburger introduces its own arrest by losing a cool box full of drugs at A73

A 54-year-old man from Swalmen in Limburg was arrested on Monday after a cooler box with drugs fell from his van on the highway. More narcotics were later found in his van and house.

The cooler box fell from the van on the A73 driveway near Linne. It turned out to contain hundreds of ecstasy pills and other narcotics.

Based on images from Rijkswaterstaat, the van’s license plate could be traced. When the police arrived at the man’s home, they checked the van and found a few more kilos of hard and soft drugs.

In the man’s home, the police found erection pills, testosterone, a bottle of nitrous oxide, and equipment for producing narcotics. There was also 10,000 euros in cash in the house. All of this has been confiscated.

The man is currently in custody for further investigation.
