Lewis Capaldi released his new song Survive on Friday. It is the first music the Scottish singer-songwriter has shared since his previous single Strangers was released early last year.
Capaldi announced a break in 2023 to step out of the spotlight for a while. During his performance at Glastonbury that year, he visibly struggled due to his Tourette’s syndrome. As a result, he couldn’t finish the performance.
On Instagram, the 27-year-old artist writes in a video: “It’s been a while…”, referring to his absence. Rumors about a new performance at Glastonbury later this year have not yet been confirmed.
The singer broke through internationally with songs like Someone You Loved and Before You Go. His most recent album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent was released in 2023.
