Kopecky is running out in Ardèche vertebral fracture: 'Hope to be back soon'

Lotte Kopecky Suffered a Fractured Vertebra in a crash in the Tour of Ardèche. It is unclear how long the world champion will be out of action.

Kopecky Crashed on Thorsday in the Third Stage of the Tour of Ardèche. She got back on her bike, but had to Abandon the Race Shortly After. Initial Examinations Revealed No Fractures. Kopecky Continued to have back pain and new examinations revealed that she has a fractured vertebra.

“What this mean for the rest of the season is Unclear,” Her Team Team SD Worx-Protime Writes. “Kopecky needs to rest in the coming days. After that, it will be examined how the fracture heals. Only then can it be indicated when she can cycle again and how long the rehabilitation will take take.”
