Airline company KLM is scraping 119 flights next Wednesday, because the ground staff will stop at Schiphol. The KLM employees recently stopped twice.
It is a strike between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Another strike is also planned: Wednesday 1 October from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. There were also strikes on 10 and 17 September. Then more than a hundred flights could not continue.
“By showing that we disagree with this agreement, we can get KLM back to the table,” FNV writes in a press release.
KLM had concluded an agreement at the beginning of this month with the VKP, NVLT and the Union trade unions. CNV and FNV refuse to join that agreement. The unions require more fixed jobs, purchasing power retention and a heavy work scheme for all heavy professions. That is why employees now struck again.
At KLM, fourteen thousand land employees work. They are the people who, for example, consult and unload, drag planes or travelers.
