Kim Kardashian plays Schurk in film around Bratz dolls

Kim Kardashian is set to star in a live-action film based on the Bratz doll line. U.S. media report that the 44-year-old reality star will play a villain in the film.

Kardashian is also involved in the project as a producer. Charlie Polinger and Lucy McKendrick are writing the script for the film. Amazon MGM Studios has acquired the rights to the film.

More than 200 million Bratz dolls have been sold worldwide since 2001. A live-action film about the doll line was already released in 2005, but it was not a success.

For Kardashian, this is a new step in her acting career. The reality star will soon be seen in the lead role in the upcoming Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel. She will also appear in All Is Fair, a new film by director and producer Ryan Murphy.

Kardashian recently appeared in the horror series American Horror Story and voiced a character in two PAW Patrol films.
