Hannah Mae, Néomí, Claude and Elmer are contenders for the Zilveren Notekraker, an incentive prize for a striking newcomer on the Dutch stages.
The organizer and the musician union NTB also present a Humble Heroes Award for an influential but often underexposed session musician. Last year that honor went to producer Roselilah, who already collaborated with Kendrick Lamar and was nominated for a Grammy for that.
The Golden Notekraker has been awarded in recent years to DeWolff, Di-Rect, Eefje de Visser and De Staat. Last year Jungle by Night took the prize home, of which fellow musicians choose the winner. All 53,000 musicians and producers affiliated with Sena can cast their vote online.
The presentation of the prize is on September 30 in Poppodium Hedon in Zwolle.
