John Reid, singer, songwriter and DJ, has passed away at the age of 61. He became world famous as a member of the British dance group Nightcrawlers, who broke through in the nineties with the hit Push The Feeling On.
Reid’s former fiancée announced his death via Facebook. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Nightcrawlers’ breakthrough came in 1995 with Push The Feeling On, a song that was later sampled several times. For example, Pitbull used it in Hotel Room Service (2009) and Riton in Friday (2021).
In addition to his work as an artist, Reid wrote songs for international pop stars. He contributed to When The Heartache Is Over by Tina Turner, Unbreakable by Westlife and A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson.
