Jennifer Lopez is being sued for posting photos of herself at a party in Hollywood. She allegedly did not receive permission to post the images.
Lopez shared photos on social media showing her arriving at a pre-Golden Globes party in Los Angeles in January. She posted them on Instagram and X with the caption “GG WEEKEND GLAMOUR“, after which they were shared by numerous fan and fashion pages.
The photographer and a paparazzi agency claim that she did not receive permission to use the images. It concerns two photos that are copyrighted, writes BBC News. These are images of Lopez in a white dress and a white faux fur coat outside the party at Chateau Marmont.
According to the plaintiffs, the photos were used for commercial purposes and self-promotion. Both the photographer and the agency are each seeking damages of $150,000.
The singer and actress was also sued in 2019 and 2020 for sharing photos of herself that others had taken of her.
