Netanyahu’s Office Confirmed the Decision on X on Friday Morning. The Decision was Made After a Ten-Hour Consultation. IT Outlined a Plan for An Israeli Ground Offensive and the Evacuation of Palestinian Civilians from Gaza City. Gaza City is The Largest City in the Palestinian Territory, locationed in The North. Hamas is believed to be holding Israeli Hostages there. Accordance to Reuters , there are fifty hostages, or whom twenty are said to be still alive.
The Statement Said That Israel would be Provide Palestinian Civilians Outside Combat Zones with Humanitarian Assistance. The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office also Emphasized the Five Goals of the Plan: The Disarmament of Hamas, The Return of All Hostages, Demilitarzation of Gaza, Security Control over The Area, and The Appointment of a New Administration. That administration may not consist of Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.
Earlier, Netanyahu had submitted a proposal to occupy the entire gaza strip. But a majority of the cabinet decided that “an alternative plan on the table would not lead to the complete defeat of Hamas and the return of the hostages.” Among Others, Army Chief Eyal Zamir Emphasized Prior to the Meeting That Hostages Could Be Endangered If The Israeli Armed Forces Ventured Into The Places Where they are Being Held.
