The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has made New Agreements with Iran Regarding the Resumption of Inspections of Nuclear Facilities. Previously, Iran Suspended Cooperation with the Atomic Agency, which also ended the inspections.
The IAEA is an Organization of the United Nations that Monitors Whether Nuclear Programs Comply With International Laws and Regulations. The Organization also Carries Out Inspections. The Atomic Agency was No Longer Allowed to Do This Easily in Iran. Prior permission from the Iranian Security Council was required.
With the new Agreements, The Atomic Agency Can Continue to Monitor Iran’s Nuclear Facilities. “This is an important step in the right direction,” Said iaea chief rafael grossi on x after a meeting with the iranian minister of foreign affairs in Cairo, Egypt.
In July, Iran ended its Cooperation with the International Atomic Agency because it it had not condemned the Israeli Attacks on the country. Israel Suspects Iran of Working on a Nuclear Weapon and Therefore Bombed Several Facilities in Iran in June.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Spoke of “Self-Defense” and the Western International Community Largely Agreed. Experts, on the other hand, spoke of a violation of international law.
Shortly Before the Israeli Attacks, The Atomic Agency Criticized Iran for the First Time in Twenty Years. The country was allegedly not fulfilling its nuclear obligations. The Resolution for this was an initiative of the United States, Germany and France.
The US Wants Iran to Stop Uranium Enrichment Altogether, to prevent Iran from Secretly Working on a Nuclear Weapon. Iran Denies This and Says That The Uranium is Only Enriched for Peaceful Purposes.
