Indiana Jones wheep who was once auctioned from Princess Diana for 450 thousand euros

The whip that Harrison Ford used in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was auctioned for 450,000 euros on Thursday, reports CBS News. The whip was once owned by Princess Diana.

The item was auctioned in Beverly Hills by Heritage Auctions. “The bullwhip is the iconic symbol of an iconic character in film history, Indiana Jones, and was a highlight of this auction,” said Joe Maddalena, executive vice president of the auction house.

Ford handed the whip over at the British premiere of the film to the then Prince Charles, who gave it as a gift to Princess Diana. She later gave it to the owner who auctioned it on Thursday.

The whip was used in the film in several action scenes and fights. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is the third film in the five-part film series.

In addition to the whip, other props were also auctioned by the auction house. For example, the Rosebud sled from Citizen Kane with a price tag of more than 12.5 million euros became one of the most expensive props in film history.
