Harvey Weinstein has sued the producers of the musical Finding Neverland. According to the former film producer, the makers of the piece have breached contact. He is now demanding 2.3 million dollars (over 1.9 million euros), entertainment website TheWrap reports.
The case was filed with the Supreme Court of New York. Miramax, Weinstein’s company, was responsible for the film Finding Neverland. He argues that he is therefore still owed income from the makers. It concerns a tour that took place in the 2016/2017 season.
Weinstein is currently in jail in New York, awaiting the announcement of his sentence for a sexual assault conviction last June. He also has a sixteen-year sentence pending in California for rape and sexual misconduct.
The 2004 film Finding Neverland tells about the origin of Peter Pan.
