Arianne Hartono was eliminated on Friday in the third qualifying round of the US Open. The Dutch tennis star lost to the British Francesca Jones and is still waiting for her debut at the American Grand Slam tournament. Arantxa Russian also went down.
Hartono (WTA-158) immediately returned two service games and saw the first set go to Jones (WTA-86). In the second company, the 29-year-old Groningen gave Beter party, but was unable to bring about a change. It became 6-2 and 6-4 for the British.
