The Data Involves Hotels in Amsterdam and Almere, Van der Valk Confirms to News Agency ANP Following Reports from De Telegraaf . “There are some known cases of guests who have paid pay in advance to the wrong bank account,” the chain says. “This Damage Will of Course Be Fully compensated by van der Valk.”
The Hackers had created a fake login page for staff. After Employees Clicked on It, Hackers Were Able To View Guests’ Personal Data. The Hackers then contacted guests. They sent apps and emails asking them to confirm bookings and entered credit card details. One Guest was defrauded of 200 euros in this way, reports De Telegraaf .
