Tallon Griekspoor is Mainly Concerned about His Mental State After His Early Elimination at the US Open. The 29th-Seeded Dutchman Lost in Three Sets to Frenchman Adrian Mannarino.
Griekspoor Has Been Searching for his Form for some time. In June, he reached the final of the grass tournament in Mallorca, but after that they beached direct at Wimbledon, at the hard court tournaments of toronto, cincinnati and winnon-salem and thus at the us open.
“Losing can always happen, you will have those periods more often,” the 29-year-old from Haarlem tells nos after his defeat against the Eight-year-go-go-go-go Manarino. “So that’s not the problem. But the feeling I have on the court is the problem.”
Griekspoor does not feel comfortable on the tennis court. He admits that the past few week have leg a “struggle” for him. “I’m not on the tennis court with a lot of confidence and pleasure,” he says. “It is up to me to get back on top of that.”
Griekspoor Has Changed Trainers Several Times this year. “A few things are not right, in the team and with me. That needs to be discussed and solutions need to be found. I have to find the fun on the court again, because that is fairly far away at the moment.”
