The Austrian Grand Prix and Formula 1 have extended their partnership. The race in Spielberg will remain on the race calendar until at least 2041.

The Austrian GP now has the longest-running contract of all Grands Prix, along with the Miami GP. The American race extended its contract with Formula 1 last month.

The race in Austria has been held 37 times in Formula 1. The first edition was in 1964. In 1970, the race was held for the first time at the Red Bull Ring.

Max Verstappen holds the record in Austria. The four-time world champion was the fastest five times at the Red Bull Ring, the home base of the Red Bull team. Last year, George Russell won in Spielberg.

It remains to be seen whether Verstappen will score his fifth victory in Spielberg on Sunday. The Limburger starts in seventh place. The race starts at 3:00 PM.
