Gordon looks back on a burglary in his house in Blaricum in the podcast Nandoleaks , shortly after he came to live there in 2006. The singer stayed in London, but immediately returned when he heard what had happened.
According to Gordon, he found a remarkable scene. “Gerard Joling and I had just recorded our program on the floor on a sex farm,” says the 57-year-old singer. “The man of the sex shop had given us a bag full of toys. It was in the cupboard, but the burglars had taken everything out.”
“I came home and the police were there too,” he continues. “Then I saw that all the dildos were put out of the bag on the piano. I said,” Uncle Agent, do you understand why they didn’t take that? “
Although he can now laugh at the incident, Gordon emphasizes that the many burglaries in his life have hit him. “In the last twenty years, tons of value have been stolen from my house,” he says. This also involves things with emotional value, such as a bracelet from his mother.
“That was in Cape Town. I didn’t even realize it, because he was grated from my hand,” he explains. “I have now bought another bracelet, but it doesn’t mean anything. I was so used to wearing her bracelet, I cried a lot about it.”
