Glenn Close and Billy Porter join the cast of the new Hunger Games film: Sunrise on the Reaping. The film is the second prequel in the series and takes place 24 years before the original Hunger Games trilogy.
According to trade magazine Variety, Close will play the role of Drusilla Sickle, the mentor of the tributes from District 12. Porter will play the role of Magno Stift, Sickle’s husband and stylist of the tributes.
One of the tributes from District 12 is sixteen-year-old Haymitch, played by Joseph Zada. The character Haymitch is known from the first Hunger Games film, in which he is played by Woody Harrelson. In those films, he is the mentor of Katniss Everdeen, played by Jennifer Lawrence.
Other well-known characters who return in the new film are Coriolanus Snow, played by Ralph Fiennes, and showmaster Caesar Flickerman, played by Kieran Culkin.
The sixth Hunger Games film will be in theaters from November. The story revolves around the fiftieth ‘Hunger Game’. Children from all districts compete against each other until one of them remains.
