The body of a missing Dutch man has been found in northern Italy on Sunday, according to Italian news agency ANSA. The hiker went missing on Wednesday and was found in a national park near Turin.
The man’s body was found in the Gran Paradiso National Park in the Piedmont region, a few kilometers north of Turin.
The man was on a trek through the Italian Alps and was on his way to a mountain hut in the Aosta Valley. He never arrived there.
According to ANSA, the man’s body was discovered by a rescue team flying over the area in a helicopter. No information has been released about the victim’s age.
