Thirteen years ago, bassist Ivo Severijns’ Bass Guitar was Stolen after his performance with Kane at Friends of Amstel. This week, he finally got it back after recognizing the guitar in an ad on marketplace.
The Theft Occurred in January 2012, the Friends of Amstel Concert Series in the Rotterdam Ahoy Concert Hall. Since then, Severijns, Former Bassist for the Band Kane, Has Constantly Searched for the Bass Guitar with a Friend.
Recently, Severijns’ Friend Saw the Guitar Appear on Marktplaats for the first time, he writes on Instagram. He decided to make an appointment with the seller with his friend. At the same time, he contacted the police, including asking what they should if they found the instrument.

But the Police See Too Few Opportunities to Open A Criminal Investigation Into Receiving Stolen Goods, Thirteen Years After the Theft. The Seller Did Receive a Few Fines for Traffic Violations Duration His Escape.
Severijns is very happy to have the guitar back. “Never thought we would ever find him again.”
