FIFA has suspended Hector Hevel and six other players from the Malaysian national team for a year. According to the World Football Association, the Malaysian Football Association submitted false papers to get the football players entitled to play for a qualifying match for the Asia Cup.
The 29-year-old Level and his six fellow players played the qualifying match against Vietnam on 10 June. After the 4-0 victory of Malaysia, complaints were received by the FIFA about the nationality of several players, including midfielder Hevel.
